Arkham Origins killed my PS3 :(. I'm a sad Panda. After 6 years with my baby, I finally put it to rest.

RIP. The 60GB one was such an awesome beast. Mine still works, but it overheats quickly so I can't play it for long bursts,
I know your feel. I had the vanilla 360 and it died with Alan Wake. Even if you purchase a new Ps3, it will never be the same :(

I purchased a new PS3 the first time it "died" and by die I mean the lens burned out. But yeah I really liked the way the original PS3 looked.

Sorry to hear that. My 60GB original that I got at launch almost made it through the entire generation, but The Last of Us and Dead Space 3 double-teamed it last year and killed it. If you plan to replace it I suggest the Slim, not the Super Slim which I purchased, which works absolutely fine but has the worst build quality of the three.
What does the yellow light mean? My 80gb phat did not die, but wouldn't read any kind of discs anymore.

Try - reballing your ps3.
I had the same case 1y ago. My PS3 60GB came back from the dead after profesional reball. It is said that PS3 60GB are very well crafted so give her one chance.

I can try that, but anyway I have a 250gb one now so I don't really need the old one. I'm gonna keep it though because I'm proud to be the only one out of my friends to have the backwards compatible launch PS3.

No reball will permanently fix them. Unless someone completely goes, desolders everything and uses a lead based solder to put it back together. I actually blow dryed it to get it running again just to take Arkham Origins out. But it's best if I retire it.
