The whole situation is fishy because the mods have given nothing but vague answers regarding the decision. If this is really all because there's a Wii U/3DS Friend Code thread then that's kind of ridiculous honestly. That thread is old and barely used as it is. Would just be easier to have people that are actually interested in SSB have their codes in an official SSB thread so everyone knows who's interested.

Alright, I didn't want to get involved in this since I'm in a position of "conflict of interest" here but I feel this is getting out of hand.

First, there's already a Super Smash Bros. Official thread and it's maintained by me (hence the conflict of interest comment).Right now, it's an informative thread to talk about Sakurai's posts and the features and characters announced. When the game actually releases, I plan to change it so it becomes a meetup, tournament thread.

Second, regardless of the presence of this official thread, tbone54 has been allowed to make some 34 threads about SSB4, none of which got locked. Yesterday only, he made a whopping 8 threads about the game.

Third, yesterday tbone asked me about a friend code thread and I replied to him that I thought it would be better to have a centralized thread for SSB4. He still decided to make his thread nontheless. This "official" thread was not approved, premature and would have conflicted with the official thread on the game.

After his thread got locked, being unhappy with the moderation, tbone went on a series of threads complaining about it, ignoring warnings made by Conegamer and eventually got himself banned.

If the reason you guys locked it was because of you wanted to do a multiplayer thing for the officiol smash bros thread then why not say that in the first place instead of saying something about the WiiU friends thread?  That would be much more understandable and in which case i retract this thread.  YOu guys can lock it  :)

No where that I can see in your threads opening posts do I see anythig about FC exchange or Tournaments etc. in the future. Its all news

Also his threads afterwards merely asked why in which Khan said it was because of the 3DS and WiiU FC exchange threads even though other games such as Pokemon had its own thread with FC Exchange and the other asking whom he should contact to complain,

Anyway, awaiting incoming ban for publicly complaining about the matter again =P

Had the mods said that it was too early for a SSB4 thread I would have been fine with them locking it but the fact that their reason for locking it was that there were threads, which were beyond dead, dedicated to it already is beyond stupid.

If that was truly the issue then why didn't they lock the Destiny of Spirits thread?

Let's ban Nation threads, so that the perception of making more dedicated threads to specific discussions is allowable. Nation threads are the ones to blame for his banning.... Nation threads are killing this community by their gang mentalities.
