I believe the word you're looking for is "Uncarted"

Definitely the old Naughty Dog. Jak honestly is the only character in Sony's lineup that could have given Mario a run for his money in the mascot wars. But I do understand that the "kids" don't want to play cartoons anymore like we dreamt we would when I was growing up. They've been raised up on too many "army of one" ad campaigns and a country/culture that wanted to create warriors instead of poets and dreamers.

I would say old because of nostalgia, but honestly I can't choose, there hasn't been a single game from them which I haven't liked.

Hard to say yet.

PS1/PS2 Naughty Dog started great with Crash and first Jak, but then really fell off for me.

PS3 Naughty Dog started rough with first Uncharted, but really picked up with sequels and Last of Us is their best work in my view.

My hopes would be PS4 era will see least two great games from them (I am not counting any re-releases in that).

I have no preference between realistic and abstract with them as seen they can go do well or not with either visual aesthetic.

Uncharted Kart racing would be hilarious.

Anyways... i liked new ND better until Amy Hennig left. Now i frown on them. Sucess got to their heads.

I'm sure they will continue to put out great games, but the magic of games like Jak and Uncharted will probably go away.

To be honest I rather have the old Naughty Dog back. The new games are cool and all but Crash Bandicoot was a spectacular game and the first Jak game was good!

The newer games are "good" but I can't seem to get into them. Cinematic gameplay wowed a lot of people but not me.

I liked Crash Bandicoot more than any game they made on PS3. And they also made Crash Team Racing, what was imho the best "mascot racer" until Sonic AS Transformed came out. Their games just seemed so much more focused on gameplay back then, where as now gameplay seems to take a back seat to presentation.

To be fair I never played a second of the Jax and Daxter franchise. "Mid Naughty Dog" might be better than new or old for all I know.

Old ND was great for its time. But crash bandicoot type games are not system seller now a days. The last of us type games or COD type games are now system seller. So ND have taken the right path. I like the new direction.

I really enjoy the new Naughty Dog, of course this is just an opinion.

For the fact that Uncharted was critically acclaimed and my love for the franchise, I'd stay anytime for the Old Naughty Dog. But then TLOU on the other hand keeps those fears at bay.
