12mil is shipped+digital.

11.61mil was dec 31st while vgc had it at 9.20mil but adjusted it up to 9.94mil. But its still undertracked before and now.

Vgc currently has it 10.67mil but sales should be around 11.5mil-11.7mil (including digital). Making Supply 300k-500k on store shelves imo.

Reasoning as to 400k+ this year shipped is cuz pokemon xy came off holidy so its expected!

Awesome. Hope the legs keep up, I see this game matching Diamond/Pearl at least. Sales like the GB/GBC Pokémon games are a dream though.

I don't see how DS' hardware had as humungous of an impact on D/P's sales as you imply. Sapphire and Ruby have sold more than you are expecting X/Y to on a nearly comparable install base at this time. 3DS still has a shot at 80 Million, and you expect X/Y to be almost one of the worst selling core Pokemon titles in the history of the franchise? 

Black and White should've been the bottom for the franchise sales-wise. X/Y needs to improve in it's legs over B/W, by a lot. And I think it will. Anything below 3.5 Million just isn't good enough. 

I'll give you this, Tbone, if X/Y does more or comparable to 3.5 Million I'll be happy about it. Considering me being a "downer" seem to be a big thing for you, that should be a pretty nice change of pace.

Well we will agree to disagree since both opinions are different for 2nd year performance.

That said, i want to point out 2 things.

1. Its not about worse selling, BW/DP/RS all sold between 15.5mil-17.5mil So even if XY sells 15mil lifetime, yes you can say its the worse selling (main games) of the 6, but its not a big deal considering they are all next to each other. If XY sold 10mil then be worried (even though 10mil is a hell of alot of profit lmao).

-add in XY legs>>>>>> BW. BW was a front load weapon like Halo 4. It sold the most of each resprective franchise, but only with its launch/First couple of weeks do to install base.

2. I said this in a previous post, Ruby/Sapphire came off from a 32mil+ and 23mil+ games. Thats why it looks like it sold much more (outsold BW for example).

No matter wat you say, XY is a huge success, and even if it sells the worse its still good considering it wont be uder 14mil when its all said and done. It has a good chance selling 3.5mil, even 4mil.

I think XY will have special events (cuz of the leaks) and that will help maintain sales.

I guess I just had my hopes way too high for it. I expected more and I was left disappointed because it felt empty like they didn't try for real. It was pokemone but it felt like the half did it to me for some reason. 

I actually have a theory on it. Pokemon makes all there sales on Handheld right? a main one will never go to Console, but why not make a third installment (Yellow/Crstal/Emerald/Platinum/BW2) of 2 games on both HH+Console?

Ex: Pokemon Z coming up, instead of 1 version, why not make Pokemon U + Pokemon Z with Pokemon U being in another region and having different feats, but are cross played with Pokemon Z? Its a win win!

Pokemon Z sells 7mil for example alone. But with 2 different versions, we can see Pokemon Z sell 6mil-6.5mil and a console version sell 1mil-4mil! Possibly more

pokemon is the only reason i say nintendo will never leave the HH market.

If a new HH came out for nintendo for $200 and the only game was a new gen pokemon, It will sell no less than 10mil.

That is actually a pretty well thought out theory. I would definitely go for it. A good gome console Pokemong ame and Pikmin and you would have yourself a new Wii U buyer right here lol.
