Forums - Nintendo - Best Thing That Would Come True In The Upcoming SSB Direct, A Demo (Beta)! [If 8 Characters Would Be In It, Who Would You Pick?]

That would be a really good idea, and I agree that this would have an impact (albeit quite small) on weekly sales.

And let's be honest, if they are doing a Direct for a game that still doesn't have a release date, it must be because they have something important to say.

Please excuse my bad English.

How would this help them sell more Wii Us?

Really? O.o

So many are waiting on SSB. This would convince many to buy it earlier, heck titanfall it helped nicely

Ehh, maybe. The game is coming out soon anyway, and no one who would buy a Wii U for a Smash Bros beta wouldn't buy one for the full game. At best, they're selling some consoles a little bit sooner.

I ask because Nintendo seems to release demos only for games that need more exposure, like Fire Emblem and Wonderful 101. Smash Bros definitely isn't one of those games. So if a demo wouldn't help sell the game, and it wouldn't help sell consoles, what purpose would it serve from a marketing perspective?

A Smash Bros demo with Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Normal Link, Wii Fit Trainer, The Villager, Peach and surprise surprise reveal Jigglypuff would be dope.

Not a demo, a Beta! It will definitely/easily market itself. This is a hardcore game, lots of people will hear about it and want toplay it for themselves.

Besides there are alot of non WiiU owners and are only waiting on SSB. TBH I Think SSB will push more than MK but thats me. MK is the safer bet.

I also really think Smash will push more than Mario Kart. While it will be a great game mario kart is not a game people will buy a console alone but smash has been on the top memorable/definitive games for the past two nintendo consoles.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.
