Let's say Iwata really is fired in June. Who would be a good replacement to turn Nintendo around while still keeping their core values?

The worst thing that could happen to Nintendo is someone that goes Iphone and pay to win only and just thinks about short-term money making.

On the other hand, Nintendo needs a big change, something like dropping the tablet or creating a joint-venture company with Sony's Playstation division. Or releasing an Android-powerd Nintendo Smartphone with Nintendo eshop.

If Nintendo continues to do nothing, it won't exist much longer, unfortunately. And if Iwata doesn't realize that such dramatic changes are required he needs to go.

In my opinion, Yosuke Matsuda would qualify for the job with his recent comments about Square Enix.

Supposedly of the leadership of Nintendo's board, Tatsumi Kimishima is supposed to be the one capable of thinking outside the box (with the others being Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda), though it's always very hard to tell. Nintendo's culture of secrecy means it's quite impossible to gauge, and you know it'll be an inside hire short of total shareholder revolt
