Forums - Nintendo - Would you Like Nintendo to Make a TV-Top Box like TV-Fire

This was not my idea to start off.  All credit goes to RavenXtra but since Raven didnt make a thread about it here i am as i thought it was a great idea.

Amazon just announced the TV-Fire and i personally think it is a pretty good idea and Raven told me thtat Nintendo could do something similar, specially considering their games.  Nintendo may not allow their games on mobile devices legally but they could make a $100 TV Box that has thev virtual console on it, indies, Maybe even newer games and more.

THough i still personally feel that Nintendo over-prices their virtual console games, but that is an entirely different subject.  What do you guys think?

so wiiU minus the gamepad?

It's called a nintendo Wii. Picxk one up at gamestop for $60. Bam, set top box, netflix, hulu, games.

That depends if Nintendo would get more video streaming services, music, and the others. The Wii U is missing some good ones so who knows if they can do it.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

Please edit the thread title to include the words, "What if?". I thought this was a late April Fool's thread before clicking.

It's easier to just launch a "home port" which has some minor graphical capabilities (mostly a crackerjack up-scaler) and the ability to run easy local multiplayer like consoles, and tie that into their next, PS4-ish level handheld. $300 for the handheld, an extra $100 for the home port with a controller (which is bundled with a local multiplayer centric game). Home Port itself could function as an eShop hub without the handheld, but the handheld would have the main GPU so the home port couldn't run advanced games without it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

No thanks... its not gonna work just like the Vita TV

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Misleading title, I thought it was an announcement.

As for the topic, I don't think this should be Nintendo's next home console, but maybe like a side thing. It's an experiment but they shouldn't bet everything on it.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Title is misleading, I honestly thought it was confirmed from it.

Anyway, it would be a horrible idea, Nintendo has never advertised its entertainment services, and the only games that would logically work with the box would be old, emulated games, not 3DS games unless they manage to include some kind of tablet controller as well.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Changed the title. Hope that helps a bit
