I don't think it will make people think twice about the WiiU's power :P It looks good because of Nintendo artistic skill, graphically speaking it's pretty simplistic (the visuals themselves could be achieved on a PS3/360, though it's performance obviously wouldn't be as good as on the WiiU).
I do think Nintendo should invest in some better AA methods. Their art style would benefit a lot from smoother edges. Their current method worked okay-ish for SM3DW, but it's flaws become a lot more apparent with faster paced games like MK8.
