I believe it's worth $30. I'm probably gonna get a good amount of hours out of it with all the missions, including the last one that must be unlocked. And, I like MG so much that I'll probably want to get all the trophies.

I paid full price for South Park and InFamous, and I might play this more than those. So, in my case, yes, It's worth $30.

Now, not everyone is gonna be OK with this and many people might just be interested in the main mission. In that case you might feel ripped off.

For those who have played it, what's your opinion?

Hell no! It's fun while it lasts but everything after fails to make the price worth it imo... The only reason u should buy this game is if you are a die hard mgs fan and even then its on the border considering how other games with similar concept (in the sense that they both give u a true taste of the real game), such as bravely default's demo is free with a ton more content

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

If you thought it was worth it, just think that Phantom Pain is going to be roughly 200 times in size.

But there is no platinum trophy for it...

OT: I haven't played/bought it yet but from several different opinions, the general consensus is that if you are a fan of MGS then it'll be worth it for you. If you aren't then you should wait for a price drop or if it comes to PS+.

I haven't played it, but I'll just say from what I've seen (Not my true answer since I haven't played it)

If you're a fan, then yes. If you're not, you'd probably be better off without buying it.

True, I forgot... now that's stupid, should have one. Anyway, I should've said "get all the trophies". I'll correct it.

I have a mentality that a game is "worth it" if I get around 1 hour of play time for each £ spent. Games which are way under aren't worth it, and games way over are great value for money.

I got Ground Zeroes for £28, and played it for about 4 hours. So, that's 1/7th of an hour per pound. I'm not saying it isn't good (it's enjoyable whilst it lasts), but value for money? No. It's not worth the price.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It was worth it the moment "Here's to you" started to play.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

It's clearly worth for more than 500k people who bought not sure why so many haters want to beat it out.

Don't think it is worth? Buy a different game with your money and stop worring about "tendencies".

You can't generalize for the 500k people who bought it. The fact that this game is sold for $30 could be potentially dangerous for this industry, and saying something like vote with your money is just a horrible excuse.

Although I do think this game isn't worth $30, it is fun for what it is, and makes me excited for the Phantom Pain :3
