Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 2014 sales extremely close to XBone 2014 sales.

yup selling quite well.. could definitely outdo last years numbers.. maybe even the other years depending on the holidays

I'm not surprised. In the past, previous gens outsell their successor for several months/a year. I (wrongly) predicted the PS3/360 would trump PS4/XB1 so at least PS3 is still doing its part.

PS3 isn't selling well. And the 360 is doing horribly. Its shocking the Vita has sold more than the 360 and WiiU this year.

Granted 360 hasn't seen a NA price drop since August 2008 lol. PS3 is another story.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

You can get the 4gb 360 for $179, and the 250gb with 2 free games or the 4gb with kinect for $249. So its not the same price as 2008. In 2008 the 360 elite cost $399 and the Arcade 360 cost $199.

I agree that the 360 desperately needs a price cut.

Lies! I'm sure the Xbox One sold a lot more consoles digitally!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Well the 360 Pro was slashed to $299 and the Arcade to $199. The Elite is about what MS has now with the 250 gig/kinect bundle for $399. Essentially they have been upping the value since 2008 but the prices themselves have been locked for the last 5.5 years (!!).

Though there are special limited bundles out now that show the 250 gig for $250. Limited price though it says. Plus the $399 bundle....lol the balls MS has still selling a 360 with the same price as a PS4.

Not surprised. Sony knows how to support its home consoles since they are a global gaming brand. Unlike others..

What data is this reporting? Hardware? It doesn't appear to match VGC numbers.

I see.  The yearly charts must be a few weeks behind.
