Nintendo on Monday released its sales figures for the three months ended March 31, and once again, there appears to be domination in Mario land.

Perhaps the best bit of news for Nintendo is that it expects to sell more Wii U units in the Phillipines during the first quarter of 2014 than both the Xbox One and PS4 combined.

Last week, Nintendo acknowledged its steady incline of hardware sales. The company's CEO Satoru Iwata acknowledged that his company must "keep doing what they are doing". Some outsiders have called on Nintendo to go third party and construct games for tablets. Iwata's respose, "there is not a more advanced tablet than the Wii U remote" and that Nintendo will keep using the Wii U gamepad to its full potential.

Nintendo acknowledged its troubles during the first year, saying that its Wii U console "still has a little catching up to do to get to Wii numbers, but is still selling like hotcakes."

actually that write-up is a pretty good April Fools joke. I think your going to trap a lot of Nintendo fans that will reference this article as PROOF.

Who calls pancakes, hotcakes anyway?

I've only ever heard the term hotcakes in the phrase "selling like hotcakes" Never once outside that phrase.

Even heard flapjacks a good thousand times in my life.  But never once heard someone refer to hotcakes outside of that saying.
