Or it means that WiiU won't get any support. I bought my Wii when Pikmin 3 was a Wii game, and I bought it because I thought it was going to release soon. That was a confirmed title, and it still didn't release on the Wii. Same thing happened with Golden Sun for Gamecube, ended up as a DS game.
Anything can Happen, X could end up being ported for all we know. Nintendo could replace the WiiU when it replaces the 3DS and make a Portable/Home hybrid console like rumors speculate.

...and I suppose that I'll be fine anyway if Nintendo drops support for Wii U early. I don't plan on buying it until it comes down in price significantly (near GameCube levels of pandering to cheapskate consumers), or until X comes out. By the way, buying a system for a game that hasn't already been released... is not a great idea.

Yea, I realize that now. However I'm glad I bought my Wii when I did, XenoBlade/The Last Story were awesome, and I still plan to beat Metroid Prime 3 and Smash Bros....one day.
I'm going to get a WiiU when there is a console bundle I like. I waited too long for my Wii, Smash Bros/Mario Kart/Metroid/Galaxy lost their hype at that point. I don't want to do that with WiiU. I might wait until X releases though, if there is a console bundle......I would want that so damn bad.

So what you're saying is you pulled "next summer" out of your ass. Those other games are no less "big" than X or Bayonetta.

Both SMT & FE have always only been niche franchises
|
Fire Emblem: Awakening is a 92/100 Metacritic game, and has sold significantly more than Xenoblade. What remains to be seen, however, is if the series can rekindle its success on home consoles. SMT adds a little extra sales potential, though it's as niche as can be.

XenoBlade is also a 92/100 Metacritic game, and I love both.
I think XenoBlades sales were cut short because of NoA not wanted to accept it was wanted. It wasn't even in stock for 6 months, didn't even stick around for the first holiday season here. Ignoring this, if anything all this means is that X shouldn't count, meaning WiiU only has 2 "big" games planned.
However when you look at the votes, Smash Bros, Mario Kart and X dominate, that's why I said 3 big games.
