+System seller for WiiU (?)

I am sure theres some regrets but probably not zomfg amount... It will sell like crazy either ways both on the 3ds and wiiU but yea, it would have sold more wiiU's if it was wiiU exclusive but I am sure software sales wise, it would have sold less if it was wiiU exclusive as well so I think it will be fine

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Probably not seeing as how the game will be able to reach more people with a well established platform than to keep it on the one that's getting burned a lot ...

Honestly, I don't see the 3DS version doing great. I mean, the appeal of Smash Bros has always been offline play, despite Brawl having a solid online community. There's still N64 tournaments or Gamecube ones to this day and age.

Probably. Their biggest potential Wii U system seller is now going to have most of it's system selling potential leeched away by the 3DS version.

At the same time though they can sell more copies of smash so pick your poison. I would rather smash be exclusive to 3DS than WII U.

Just like mario kart was leeched by the portable installments, oh wait.

In a way, yes.
I think it`s safe to say Iwata expected more of both consoles, especially of Wii U.

Still, as things are today, 3DS can live without it, but Wii U can`t. And having to share sales with 3DS is going to harm Wii U.

A little, it'll get them more profit overall by having it on both systems, but it'll hurt them in the long run since it'll cannibalize Wii U's sales.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

No not really - despite what others say - the Wii U version will sell very well, perhaps even better than the 3ds by a mile.

Smash is the sort of game that is best played around the tv screen with a couple friends sitting on the couch. I think Fans (and those who played the game previously) will recognize this and pick up the Wii U version instead.

No.

If the 3DS version has any effect on the Wii U version, it would be a positive one.
