Since when did playing videogames start being a chore? I just want to sit on my couch/chair and play video games. I don't need big clunky crap making me go further in that reality. Maybe I am more casual than others I guess.

It's not intended to be a flame baiting thread. If there are angry replys, then those same people are already upset about Linonel's quote. The thread title wouldn't influence their reaction, just look at some of the replies in the Gamespot article.

Do you really have to develop a game specifically for VR? I can see having a game that can be played with VR or on your TV. That way you are not limiting your potential customers. I think indie games like Dear Ester and Gone Home would well. Games that allow you to explore and solve a puzzle a two at a leisurely pace. That way both the audience and devs can get used to it. Fast paced shooters -and possible motion sickness- can come later.

One million is not that big a number and I think Sony can do it as long as the price is right. I guess you have to have the camera too.

In your OP you call people butthurt,  you are delibrately creating a flame thread, and its a dube at that.

Any gaming peripheral other than a HDTV will fail.
