Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One deal watch: Titanfall bundle cheap at Tesco & Walmart, Amazon

Maybe a permanent price drop is coming soon?

I don't think so. I'm betting we don't get a full pricecut until September (when it launches in the rest of it's markets or soon after). But I do think it will be a pretty constant stream of bundles until then.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Best buy too. Now... why did mythread get locked again.....

im not trying to sound like a downer but was Titanfall suppose to be really really massive? Reports of discounts all over with the game free O.o No word from M$ either and games been out for 10days+

Does microsoft usually announce sales numbers for games they dont publish?  Sounds more like EA's job, but i dont know.  Do you know how console makers usually approach this?

Well Sony has been making announcements like crazy, so i thought microsoft would too, especially with its biggest release in the first half of the year!

OK here is the deal.

When one company marks down a product like this all other retailers will follow because they don't want to miss out on sales. All this is is a chain reaction to store price matching one retailer.

Yup that's exactly what happened. When I came in to work yesterday (Best Buy) I was told to make new price tags at $449.99 for both the regular Xbox Ones and the Titanfall ones due to Walmart marking theirs down. The Microsoft Rep. told me that Gamestop (at the time) was the only place that didn't change their prices.

Exactly. BTW I use to work at Best Buy. They always follow what the other companies are doing. I remember in our breakroom we would have the weekly ads of all the other retail chains posted on a board.

The Xbox One is to big of an item for retail chains not to price drop when their competition does.

When Dead Rising 3 hit 1 million shipped it was Capcom, not Microsoft, who made the announcement and Microsoft published that game. Microsoft has even less ties to Titanfall.

IMO you won't get numbers until the 360 version is released and EA will show off their numbers.

You have to be a idiot to think the game did poorly.

They've been $450 at Target, Costco and my local Walmart for more than a week. I go to those three relatively frequently.
