Forums - Sony - So Infamous is a flop: why did Sucker Punch fail?

Yup, 86 is a masterpiece and 81 is a total disaster. Seems like guys who's console of choice will never win a generation are just posting crap out of anger now. Last I checked an 81 is a B average. Same goes for an 86. You guys wanted Titanfall to rate above 90 and sell countless XBOX Ones but when neither happened you need something to point your aggression and sadness toward. It's actually quite sad lol.

Because Infamous: Second Son was from the beginning to the end overrated and got hyped to the Moon like a God Game only from PlayStaion Fanboys!!!

You mad bro?! Lol

Sucker Punch only have themselves to blame. If they'd removed the story, made sure the framerate drops regularly, added tearing and made it online only, the scores would have been much better.

The PS5 Exists.

Infamous: Second Son was only hyped by the raging Sony fan boys. Everyone else knew the game would just be alright.

Also, to the people who say 81 isn't a flop, it is. Video game journalism is trash and inflates scores. They really grade on a 5 point scale, since games rarely get below a 5. Infamous: Second Son is really 3 out of 5 which is poor for a triple a game.

Like last gen the AAA games will be new IP's & surprises which come at least 2 years into the generation.

All I can say is that, Titanfall did not deserve the high scores it recieve just because of the hype it was getting (Titanfall was overhyped to the point where people expect too much from game). The game is more like a 8/10 for me, but a 9-10? No way! By the way, about Infamous: Second Son, I'll buy the game anyways to see and judge the package for myself (I don't trust "professional" reviewers much like most most gamers of tody, whether they have common sense or not).

Metacritic is full of trolls and people need to stop taking the score a game gets there as gospel.

People only take Metacritic scores as gospel if a) a game they hate gets a low score or b) a game they love gets a high score. If Titanfall had gotten 81 all of these Titanfal lovers would be calling it a great score and if Infamous had gotten 85 they wouldn't have said anything and vice versa for Infamous fans.

I agree with the first line, but wouldn't 81/100 = 4/5?
