So, I've seen comments from the web about how some people hate these kinds of trailers since they don't show gameplay. I actually really like them, since some of them are really well made and just cool to watch. Gameplay will come later on anyways. The trailers sure do get me excited for the game though. Some examples: Is that weird? What about you?

I can get excited for a game just from a CG trailer.  It's just a starting point, obviously, the real gameplay has to prove itself, but a CG trailer can be very effective in setting a tone and sparking the imagination.  The Sunset Overdrive trailer is a good example of that IMO.

Final Fantasy vXIII... we didn't see gameplay for AGES.

Not if it's a game in a franchise you love, or something new from a developer you love.

Nothing wrong with it. Often that hype is backed up by a legitimate interest, such as it being from a developer you like, a series you enjoy, or simply having themes you find interesting.

a cg teaser can get my attention, but get my hyped for the game? no way! I need gameplay info before I can get hyped...

The thing is, many are sequels to proven franchises, so... Why not?

Batman certainly got my attention.

Its not weird cause thats the whole point of trailers is to get you hyped... I think Blizzard makes some of the best CGI trailers ever if not the best!

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Yeah it can get me hyped, but it can also lead to some major disappointment once the gameplay is actually revealed.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

It takes some effort to make good looking trailers. So I will assume that behind a well made trailer there is a high possibility of a well made game.
