The only thing this thread has reinforced is how inflated opinions are on X's graphics. It looks very nice, but can easily pass for a PS3/360 game.

No I'm saying FF13 VERSUS looks as good as X. I don't even know why people are still saying X looks that good. It clearly took a big graphical downgrade from when it was first revealed.

X is leaps and bounds above versus 13.

downgrade? sure, if you think a random video of beta gameplay means anything. that video had the intent to show the BATTLE SYSTEM and the only thing that looked subpar were the monsters. but then again, it's beta footage and any model looks bad with a big close up, for example:

Noctis doesn't look so good in this close, right?

that's like a low quality image of the first trailer (it has improved since that time) and it still crushes the game you just said "look as good as X". please, saying FF versus 13 was at this level, you can't be serious.


X graphics have downgraded since it's first reveal. Anyways I can't be bothered arguing with you, you're always in denial, I could give you a $100 note and you would tell me it was $50. That's what it's like arguing with you.

there were three showings of X: the second looked much better than the first. and the third's only problem was a whooping TWO enemies that didn't look that amazing, on a video meant to show the battle system and not the graphics.

And you never did anything that can be considered "arguing" with me.

And? Your proof, if you want to call it that, is nearly baseless. My last point "It's. Not. Happening." could go for "Is it coming to Wii U" and, "Is the Wii U powerful enough?" Multiple uses, how nice.

Sure, if ps360 were 8th gen machines. those two never dreamed of running anything like X.



I don't see the deal with FFXV. It's been in development with current gen tech(meaning late gen 7, early gen 8). The graphics aren't that great, it's certainly not Witcher 3, not even anywhere near that. I fail to see how it's so graphically and technologically brilliant the U can't handle it at all. It looks a littler better but in the same league as Watch Dogs, both awkward in between gen games.

You can't just compare completely different games with each other. What we do have however are comparisons between the same games on the different consoles. And none of those seem to be running as well as on PS4/X1. That doesn't really fill me with confidence.


I'm quite sure OP isn't talking about the game running exactly like PS4/XBO versions, just about the game being able to run without major compromises. And based on current footage of FF15, I'm quite inclined to agree with him if that's the point. If the game is running at 1080p/30FPS on PS4/XBO with AA applied and anisotropic filtering, I'm quite sure they could drop this to 720p and run at 30FPS on Wii U turning post-processing filters off. I mean, you just need to look at the overall polygon count of what's been shown, it's last-gen geometry levels, overall shader use also looks last-gen, this game seems nothing like PS3/360 couldn't run considering you drop resolution, filtering and asset qualities, much less Wii U. AI isn't CPU intensive at all, so unless they are using some heavy physics algorithms alongside complex AIs, which wasn't shown to be happening on last trailers, last-gen consoles and Wii U would be able to run the AI routines.

Yes, this is what I mean. droping the resolution to 720p and a few adjusts here and there and the game would run smoothly on wii u.

it's funny that people come up with the worst excuses, like AI for example, as if AI suddenly turned into a magical demanding thing. Or treating wii u as if it wasn't a capable machine full of resources. and the FF15 footage does use some regular geometry on many points.



Regardless if it can run it or not im shocked wiiu isnt getting Kingdom Hearts 3 which makes more sense than Xbox One getting it.

I do think WiiU could power FF15 though.




       

Well, even the PS3 could run it, maybe with some performance issues, but it would run...

It will not be released because Square knows it will not sell enought to justify the port, only that.
