Warframe + Planetside 2 surely counter Titanfall, no? I've played none so what do I know. I'll be quiet now.
I'm with PS+ until December 2015 so it couldn't not be PS4 for that reason alone.

| Too_Talls said: hmm normal = average on this planet. I have the game, for under a week. I have had an xbox one for over 2 months, I have already played this game almost as much as the other stuff I was pecking at over that time. So yeah hype justified. You can't please everybody, ofcourse some people wouldn't like it that much and of course there are the trolls who has never touched it (one of those are probably closer that one would think)
So my system has value now. After I got the system I put it on energy conserve mode because I played so rarley but now I have it on standby.
so give me your interpretation of your comment sense I got the wrong idea. |
Completely and utterly flawed. Normal means ordinary, not special. Average mean in the middle and is implied that some mathematics have been used. Also, notice I never used metacritic score as the base of analysis. You brought that up for some irrelevant reason.
I dont know what planet you live in but it isnt any one that uses english to communicate. Also, I could go further and explain when you exchange words (such as normal in for average) then the proposition of the statement becomes warped and is disingenious to the original statement which is a logical no-no...
PS4 - better games, better price, more power and PSN Plus is a much better service than Live Gold.
The only xone game that interests me is Titanfall but I'd take a good SP experience over an mp-only game any day, so my gaming tastes would much prefer Infamous to Titanfall. In fact, I wouldn't pay $60 for competitive mp-only with so few modes.
No interest in Ryse, and don't like racing games. Outlast and Resogun are also great PS4 exclusives too.
IMO 99% of the best games are multiplats and they'll all look and run better on PS4 all gen so for me it wasn't even a competition, PS4 all the way.
I'm likely to get both PS4 and Xbox one eventually but from my perspective there isn't enough to justify either purchase. The xbox one price is also ridiculous for the perfomance on offer. I'd play the waiting game until there is a decent catalogue of games available for both and that's proper games that exploit the hardware not tarted up last gen games that basically play the same but uprezed and graphically improved.
My best gaming bang for the buck list would be;
1. PS3 (huge number of great games including some awesome exclusives and more jap games)
2. Xbox 360 (a huge number of great games, outperforms ps3 for most multiformat games slightly)
3. PC (modern entry level pc still capable). Next gen performance, incredibly cheap games. Just the initial cost of the PC as drawback plus not just a slap in a disc and play solution.
4. Wii u, a handful of great titles plus provides hdmi output for older wii games. Probably needs to be cheaper than current to justify purchase with a very limited number of software releases and very little third party support. Third party games normally perform below 360 and PS3 anyway.
5. PS4. The console of this generation. Quite a high price and limited software range. Not the best time to buy.
6. Xbox one. compromised design that can't match ps4 performance, unlikely to get japanese games. High price, low performance and live essential for functionality. Very poor value.

From you call the game normal math is automatically implicated. If it is normal it would be normal amoungst it's category of material, that being video games. so without using the word average the same concept comes into play off the word normal.
It implies it is the "norm" for a game to average out a 86 rating. See the consistency there? Same principal.
Now ofcourse you don't want to mention the metric score as it would do nothing but hurt your stance on the subject. so lets look at other things about the game and try to see how it's "Normal"
A game that combines FPS, jet packs, pacur, and mechs..... Yeah we see that every other month.
A game that is online only.........yup certainly most games are like that totally "normal"
I will take a breif break to state that sarcasm is in full effect it parts of this post...........continuing
A game that puched the xbox one sales rate over the ps4 temperarily, yup every xbox one exclusive does that.
......well I'm having trouble but I'm whilling to listen to how you see this game as "normal"
I think the PS4 is the better option.
The reason why is simple. The 360 also had lots of exclusives in the yearly years, but what happened after?
I think the X1 might look appealing to those that didnt learn their lesson with the 360 because it has 2 more exclusives at the moment (though titanfall isnt technicly an exclusive), but Sony has the biggest first party studios in the world and all of them are working on the PS4. The PS4 is the best investment hands down. There will be more exclusives out on it than there will be on the X1.
Besides that, the PS4 is doing great all over the world and is the undisputed number 1 console. You cant go wrong with one.
The X1 is a risk. Theres a real risk that microsoft will sell off the division and it seems to be doomed in Europe and Japan.
To suggests normal implies math is absurd and just brings me back to my original response to you.
As someone with a x1 and intention of getting a ps4 in the few months. Right now X1 is the best choice (assuming the wii U is not an option), the ps4 simply has no must have games and, for me at least, there are none for it for several months yet. But as always it comes down to personal preference.
It a little tough. I have neither, and neither interest me that much at this point. If you forced me to buy one and gave me the money to do so, I'd go PS4. I like the controller better, I like the interface better, I like the online benefits better, and I like the exclusives about evenly. Titanfall looks interesting, especially for a FPS, a genre I don't normally touch much, but I'd rather get it for 360. I have neither 360 nor PS3 at this point, but with Playstation Now hopefully taking care of backwards compatibility, I'll probably need to get a 360 at some point anyway so I'll get Titanfall then. Infamous won't be on any other system and won't be on Playstation Now anytime soon so PS4 gets an advantage on exclusives there.
