If within the next couple of days you start feeling like you don't like it, try harder. It's fun to just mash buttons like crazy, but the game becomes incredibly rewarding when you start to understand it better.

Also, be sure to play it with friends. 4 player free-for-all is what the game's all about.

Captain Falcon is my best in Melee.  Also, I concur wiht Parokki.  Try to get a grasp of the deeper gameplay mechanics, and also try playing it with friends.

Mines Dr Mario believe it or not, the pills he throws are a great way of preventing an attack and landing a smash of your own.

I'll assume by that, you mean its been incredibly awesome.

I didn't like smash bros at first, but once I got a grip on it, it proved to be hilariously fun.

I can kick anyone's ass with Peach.
