its perfectly fine to relese same franchise games on different platforms, but NSMB was definitely too soon. TBH they coincide their releases more cuz of hardware releases (nsmb2 3ds xl and nsmbu wiiu)

IMHO i think it had more to do with the fact that there were already games released on much popular systems that alot of people had already bought. It didnt help that the newer ones did NOTHING to differiante themselves aesthitic wise at least. What Ninty should have done was a straight revamp, drop the whole NEW thing its a joke at this point.
