Well you use VGC over NPD then, but NPD is more reliable and it shws every year February is bigger.

npd doesn't give numbers every week only every month and what little people leak or the companies say. NPD doesn't give world wide numbers. NPD doesn't give much for software numbers. NPD isn't a site with it's own comunitiy. what are you really asking with your question? |
and yet this site pretends to track sales, but as soon as OFFICIAL numbers are released they're adjusted to be closer to those respectable sources data. I don't believe you can't see the futility in the little game you play at here every week yapping about sales numbers that aren't accurate at all.

Just want to interject that only corporate quarterly shipments are the real numbers, only given to us 4 times a year, which vgchartz goes by above all else.
Talking about video games is futile in nature. But it sure is fun.
Hooray, thread delivered towards the end! I was worried we weren't going to get many software numbers, but we did.
Pretty terrible all around apart from Bravely Default, though, which vastly exceeded my expectations. I suppose/hope that Dangan Ronpa did well for a visual novel, too.
But then some WiiU software overtracking (not too drastic though, which is good) and some terrible sales from Castlevania and terrible sales from Lightning as well. Bleh.
On the plus side, hardware is miles better than I was expecting based on the tracking here and shows that the industry isn't in quite as bad a state as I'd thought. Which is lovely.
Checked the archives here and 360 sold 163 000 in February 2006 in the states. X1 doing just fine.
Upon re-examination of the numbers here, I realise that we have:
- Bravely Default ~ 50k overtracked
- Lightning Returns ~ 225k (!) overtracked
- Tales of Symphonia Chronicles ~ 29k overtracked
So, despite the early rumblings and indeed amazing numbers from Bravely, VGC still haven't got any more of a handle on their JRPG overtracking. Disappointing.

You forget Pokemon XY. VGC track it around 70k but it sold 130k+
Looks like a jrpg heavily undertracked. I kno in total sales vgc is definitelyundertracked by probably a million now!

Awesome month. Predicting XB1 > PS4 March due to TF and shortages! Going to be awesome

PSN: Saugeen-Uwo Feel free to add me (put Vg Chartz as MSG)!
Nintendo Network ID: Saugeen-Uwo
And to think people predicted that Donkey Kong would put Wii U > Xbox One lol even for a week.
I think this month you will see continue tax spending and with better weather, better retail sales, like in the other thread im looking at low 500s for the one and and good number for the PS4 (350+ area) for March NPD
