I can see how it is possible, but I am still 3 seconds away.
The leaders now have about 12.5 seconds.

damn I just tried the tourney thing ...my best time was 54secs ...i was shocked the best time was a Japanese player who used a wii wheel -_- that hurt my pride.

It was actually an Australian who first went under 13 seconds.
The world top 10 was mostly Japanese between 13.4 and 13.6.... and an Australian had managed 12.6/12.. Since which some Japanese have caught up.
It's actually pretty easy with the Wii Wheel, there isn't the need for super accurate apex hitting like in time trials. I think I have managed a late 17.X with the Wii Wheel, but I imagine I could do better like I have with remote/nunchuck. The time you can see of mine (with TWRoO) is still my second best time I think... I just did that one in 1 go and managed 16.2XX, wheras on my Larry Lion profile I have 1 time at 16.1XX and a load at 16.3XX and 16.5XX.

I think I will draw a picture of what I do, because tbh it is pretty easy to get under 20 seconds.

Ok here is what I do.
1. Move forward to one side of the approaching topman (it will sail past you) and pick up the item box, brake and turn on the spot to face the topman and mushroom into it.
2. Reverse about 1/4 around the curve while the 2nd topman appears.
3. When you are facing the topman use the second mushroom to boost into it.
4. Reverse around to face the centre, and time the last mushroom so you go through a second item box and into the furthest of the two topmans.
5. Then use the first of your second set of mushrooms to boost that topman off the edge.
Finally you should have 2 mushrooms left to get the final topman, often if you have timed parts 4+5 correctly and got the right angle, it will have spun in front of you just after No.5, so you can hit it straight away.

There is a new competittion, it's a time trial going in reverse around Mushroom Gorge, and you have to race as a kart.
I seem to fall off the mushrooms a lot more on this, I don't know whether it's the track or because I am using a kart.

Some guy is posting on the net that getting triple star rankings is done based on how much time you spend in first place. This probably has something to do with it but is not the only factor. I tested it out and it's not true. Just giving everyone a heads up. It seems to be a combination of a lot of factors. Sometimes I get one after I thought that I raced terribly and other times I don't get one when I thought that I was perfect. Oh well.
