I'm not much into emo culture, but I doubt they would crossdress to save a friend!

 

And if the emo lead wasn't up your taste, you could have keep playing a bit more.

 

But don't take this wrong. I respect your tastes and the fact that you don't like VII :)

My statement is the same with the games swapped out. I dislike Symphonia and think its the second worst Tales, only to Symphonia 2.

Glad they were able take the core of Symphonia and improve upon it so much with Abyss and Vesperia.

To each their own indeed. You complain about those points for both games. JRPGs are divisive.


No one has ever called Lloyd Irving emo. I think you ar confusing him with Emil Castagnier, a character  that I consider the worse protagonist in JRPG history. Emil was the lead character of Tales of Symphonia: DotNW. I have had heard the other complaints used about the original ToS though. I've also heard the game called formulaic before.

My personal favorite is Graces F, I just really liked the characters and environments I thinks it's also got the best battle system along with vesperia.

The results are so wrong....but I expected nothing less than Symphonia winning.
