Good to know. I might end up picking this up.

Probably the largest changes are adding in a back line of characters that can support and switch out for the main three, and replenishing your attack and healing items when you come back to town.
The first one allows for a bit more strategy in longer fights as you rotate out heart characters to let them rest up and get a bit of health on the sidelines. It also allows for long strings of support attacks and a special support at the end if you amass enough of the necessary meter.
Items being replenished when you come back to base is nice because it simultaneously makes those attack items less of a precious resource so you can use them to get through trash mobs when out and about and speed up the smaller fights while also giving you a limited amount of items you can bring for larger fights so you can't just fill your basket with attack items to beat the crap out of a tough boss.
Another great addition is the search feature which allows you to gain a bonus every now and then such as instantly gathering everything in the current area or spawning a particularly tough monster to fight. This second one was something I did all the time and helped to build my levels up much more quickly than I would have otherwise been able to.
Just finished the campaign yesterday so I'll be writing up my own review later tonight.

Really? That's quite interesting. I always felt quite bad using items when fighting non-bosses because I figured I'd have to replace them and that meant using time crafting, which meant creeping closer to whatever time limit I was on.
This game is sounding better and better by the minute, and I already loved the series. Looking forward to your review.
