There are currently 9 Wii U games to pass 500k, which will be number 10?

Currently Monster Hunter is closest at 480k meaning it only needs 20k to go. It has sold 20k so far this year so it probably will cross the mark sometime in late April or May.

Donkey Kong has only been out for 2 weeks (3 in Japan) and is at 310k, we dont know what its baseline weekly sales will be yet so its hard to determine when exactly it will reach 500k.

Personally I think Donkey Kong will win and if I had to guess when it will reach 500k I would say week ending April 5.

I think it will reach over 1 million eventually... Its just platformer fatigue on the wiiU imo... Not to say that platformers aren't great, its just having too many of them continuously is not good.. Thank god for the music though! I think it will pass 500k by the end of March if not before

I think DK can pass 2 million lifetime but thats not what im asking lol which of these 2 games will pass 500k first.

DK has a better chance, it's a newer game from a more popular franchise. I would imagine almost everyone who owns a Wii U that likes or wanted MH has it by now. The only new sales it's going to get, is if it goes on sale somewhere, or when new people buy a Wii U because of Mario Kart or Smash Bros., they very well may pick MH up while they're at it.

But yeah, I think DK will reach 500k by June/July at the latest. I think it'll reach a million, at least, before the end of the year.

You may well be correct, however, I feel compelled to point out that it certainly doesn't seem that FPS fatigue has ever really affected Xbox gamers, for example.

DK will get there first; it just came out, so it still has momentum. MH came out 16 month ago, it's slowed to a crawl by now.

Also DK will go on to surpass 2m lifetime, while MH will probably top out a 600k.

I agree. That point when it went on sale a couple monthsb ago it shop up the echarts and I even bought it digitally at that point, and have discovered it's actually pretty good game for 20 bucks lol.

The post above me are probably correct, but we could just say physical sales! For that, I would say Donkey Kong.

Monster Hunter may have passed the 500k mark if digital sales are added, there has been a sale on the Eshop in the past.
