anything below 86 is crap. 86-99 is bad and 90-95 is average 96-99 is good and anything above that is great. At least thats what i was led to believe on this site in 2007.
When I rate games I use this scale. So I'd say if a game is 50> I won't buy it, although I don't care much about meta score anyway.
0-4 Bad
5 Mediocre
6 Okay
7 Good
8 Great
9 Amazing
10 Perfect

I don't think they're "bad", but anything below 70 is hardly worth playing. Basically because there will be too many better games in each genre.

True.....missing out on some good games indeed! Enslaved, Mirror's Edge, Tales of Xillia, Tales Of Grace f, Folklore, Lost Odyssey etc(I think al those are below 80 if I am not msitaken) but those are just off the top of my head Ia m sure there are many others.
Also as you can see from ost of those titles I am a RPG fan lol.
