below 50 obviously!! but below 70 is a no buy for me

When a game hits below 70 or 60 I would say. It also depends on user scores and reviewer scores, they could be very different sometimes so I tend to look at both.

If I look at a game like "Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer" for PS2 it has a metascore of 65, which I think would scare away a lot of people. And the user score is at 6.1(61). When I first saw this game and the score it had I thought that this game must be really bad. But once I tried it I did enjoy it a lot. The game did however have some nasty bugs, really nasty, but over-all it was sort of playing a Banjo Kazooie game.

A game like this I would really enjoy to see being re-released for a new console, with updated graphics and game-engine. And of course no bugs. It could be something for the Xbox One I think, since it's about Native American mythology. Could be something for Rare to pick up?

Under 70. There are exceptions, but with so many games nowadays and so little time, i'd prefer to spend it on the better ones.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a game whose metascore was less than 80.

games under 60-ish... as that's the point where the games just aren't fun.

A lot of times there's more interesting mechanics in games that are 70-low 80-ish, they just lack polish that critics and a lot of players don't try to understand.

For the most part I disagree with most scores that get 90's... mainly my favorite game comes from a mix from the high 70's to low 90's.

60-70 is bad
70-80 is average
80-90 is good/great
90-100 is amazing

The most important thing is a good/great games will score more then 75 on meta critics..... If it score under 75 the game as too many flaws dragging the score down.

Well I chose anything under 60, purely because I have played games with a metascore of 60-70 which I personally thought were more deserving of a higher score, though usually I ignore its score because in the end its your opinion that matters not everyone else's.
