Bad? If a game dips into the 60s then it sends off some red flags for me. However, the score alone doesn't mean much, it's the text that explains the score that matters.

As a general rule, I consider any given meta-score to be the pivot of a -10/+10 range rather than an absolute. For example, if a game scores a 70, I think of it as a "60 to 80". That's still just a general impression, though. If it's a game I'm interested in, then I'll read reviews by writers I like as well as some of the highest and lowest in order to gain some perspective. The score itself is really meaningless relative to my final decision.

I know there are people who look at nothing BUT the score and that really baffles me.

Anything below 60 for the most part, although there are exceptions.

People nowadays see a 70 and think "Game is shit", meanwhile it is usually far from it. Some of the best games (In my experience) are the ones that have the most mixed scores and end up between 65-75.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

The games I enjoy the most often have bad meta scores so I would say anything above 85 is bad =D

It depends on the score. TLOU 2 getting 87 would be a really bad meta, while Titanfall getting it is pretty good.

I am a bit weary when games meta are below 70's.

To me it would have to be 0-59, although I'll read some of the reviews to see the issues people have with the games. If it's a problem I can't ignore then I won't pick up the game.

Squeezol's Fanclub Member? is that how it works?

Why can't I hold all these no gaemz?

Always looking to improve my awful drawings ;_;

once a game start getting negative reviews on metacritics it's not good. A game like Killzone on PS4 has a metascore of 73 but the game as mostly positive reviews, you know it's worth picking up. I think Metacritics does a really good job rating games, except most gamer want all there games to have 90s.

Personally a game under 75, I would not bother playing unless I was really interest.

I agree with most of you guys then.

Edit: But for real, anything below a 60 is usually getting the scores it deserves.

And there are games I have loved that get below a 60, ie Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.

I chose under a 60 because that usually means a game is buggy or unplayable. Otherwise, I don't look at review scores.
