Well I have a Samsung DLP and LCD. Sony's may be slightly better, but at least for me wasn't worth the price difference.

Although this is a Sony board, so you should take this with a grain of salt.
It may be true, but it's best to look for more objective sources.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Last I heard, Vizio is #1 in units sold in the US or something like that. But yeah, Sony makes good overpriced TVs so I guess they have huge profits on them.

That is the key term. The XBRs are excellent sets, but many would argue that their improvements over the lower end Bravias and the Samsungs aren't worth the hefty premium.

barely passable TV from Costco can hardly be considered a world class seller. Vizio is good TV for its price, but it doesn't even come close to Sony TV's quality or design.
Gotta pay good money to get the best.

What about the W-series, I have been looking at those for a while now?
This is great to hear... Considering they pretty much got owned and pushed out of a market they created (portable media players), it's great that they're doing ok in another market. Looks like Samsung is owning everyone in total tv marketshare but Sony is doing well with LCD.
