Looks like Sony's studios aren't as great as I originally thought, seems like Media Molecule and Naughty Dog are the only ones able to consistently meet deadlines while being able to produce quality games. I was once really looking forward to DriveClub, now I don't care if I ever hear that name again.

?? quite the leap of logic, they are delaying a game to make it great, that somehow means their studios are not that good?? Would you rather them rush out a game for launch (Cought forza cough)

Wonder if Forza Horizon 2 will be out before Driveclub.

Lol, where did I state their studios aren't good? Please reread my comment before you decide to respond to me.
And have you even played Forza 5 or are you just claiming it was rushed?

this will launch with VR headset it's obvious

I didn't see any hint of that.  More like wishful thinking on your part.  Sony needs to get a decent exclusive racer out on their machine.

Turn 10 got Forza Horizon out the gate for the console launch and while it had some shortcomings in terms of content, it was a next-gen experience.  If the clips already shown of Driveclub were anything to go by it was shaping up very nicely.  It didn't have to beat Forza 5 on every aspect of the game.  Even if the framerate didn't hit 60fps, I'm sure Sony fans could have said, 'but it has x,y and z which Forza doesn't have'.   At this rate XBox One will have Forza Horizon out and Turn 10/Playground Games will have had the latest improved SDK's, DX12 enhancements, and enough time to polish their game engine to make comparisons a lot more difficult.

There has been a lot of bad news for Sony recently (God forbid what the forums would have been like if all this bad news was for the other camp).  At the moment the PS4 is living off hype.

So they play tested it and realised it's a generic arcade racer with very little to differentiate it from NFS. It might be fun, but it's nothing new or special.

Oh well I guess fans must await GT7.

I think there is a good change it will since its pretty much been confirmed for later this year thanks to the info leaked by Ultima Sports.  Its just hasn't been formally announced yet could see some footage at GDC if not then E3 for sure.

Definitely E3

I don't mind, hopefully they deliever on the promise to make it a great game. Personally I'm more interested in a reinvention of the Motorstorm franchise to make it as close to the initial CG trailer as possible.

I don't think it's an arcade racer, or else I would be interested in it.
Seems like a straight up driving sim with realistic cars and physics.

Pretty impressive from them to go back to the drawing board when making a driving game.. Maybe they'll put guns in it..

lol and make it 1st person

take out the cars

and add a cover system

j/k

as the old story goes, it might look better after a rework, but after seemingly decades players would have probably forgotten about it and be disapointed with the final result
