I am new to this site, but I hope you don't signify the intelligence of this site. All I see is a bunch of ps4 fans talking about stupid reviews, you guys would have a point if they didn't run a 5 day open beta where every XB1 user could download and play it add in pc as well, over 2 MILLION people total. If the game was bad you would surely know it by now, have you ever seen a beta get such praise and hype, the reason is because with 2 maps and 3 game modes people were hooked. The hype is not based off screenshots, ITS BASED OFF GAMEPLAY.

Who say all those two millions like the game many surely liked the game but many could find the game bad some could find  and reviewer are more strict then general player.

Gran Turismo is an exemple of a game who get review late but it wasn't that good.

Most of the time it's a very bad sign, but for Titanfall、I'm in doubt of that. There were a beta, and also I don't think even with an embargo such hyped game could be very bad without anyone leaking this information.
It sure could below expectations, but to some extend, most hyped games are. In this case they didn't show crazy fake graphics, or extremely innovative new concepts that could be lies, so it could even be better than expected and they just want to build the hype.

Anyway I think that's very wrong as a business practice. It means they ask their clients to buy their game without a good knowledge of its quality, size, depth, balance. Without the leak about maps, clients don't even know if there is enough map to have fun, or if they are to buy lots of DLC to have a good experience. For the company to have assurance the game will sell well at first or have a better hype after release thanks to the embargo, they are stealing the client assurance that the game is good or as expected. I think it's very unfair.

How does one go about placing a embargo on a games review ???

The embargo lifts Monday 9AM PST. That's enough time to know if you want to buy it. Not unfair.

Oh, yes, terrible news on a game that several million people have already played, and most everyone loved it.  As we know, reviews are always more imporant than word of mouth.  Even glowing excieted reviews.

It's probably only going to clear a million in the first 3 days. Such a hard time this new IP is having. Probably only the biggest new IP of the 8th gen.

I was not aware it will be lifted a few days before, it's better than I thought when I wrote unfair. That's still very short and late, and it's not just test but also content information. Most of the games offer a few weeks to think and preorder before release, that's not by accident.
