It seems like it literally got changed at the last minute. My bundled copy of Killzone Shadow Fall is purple-blue, with purple on the side, hence the confusion.

Changing the background of the PS3's logo to blue doesn't make very much sense to me. I always though the palette swap to blue for PS4 and PSVita made sense because it looked fresh, symbolized the coming of a new generation, and stood out as different from the PSP and the PS3. I doubt this will cause much confusion (among more general consumers) given that the market will largely be shifting from the PS3 to the PS4, but it's generally best to avoid any potential problems.

I hope they switch back to green for the greatest hits, but it doesn't seem likely. On another note: anyone else notice that Xbox One cases are the same as the PS4s? Are bluray cases changing in general?
