It might. I don't think Home is being made to be Animal Crossing or Second-Life, I think Home is being made to be an add-on for the PS3, and runs concurrently with the PS3. If it was being sold seperately as a casual software title, I would agree totally. :)
I think Sony means Home to be more PS3's version of XBL, with 3-D chat.
