I would be surprised if it wasn't story driven. Soul Sacrifice was too. This is how Sony is trying to differentiate their hunting games from Monster Hunter which is devoid of any story. With characters you actually care about they hope you will become invested in the series, as well as have some good ol Coop fun.

I'm hoping they announce the localization soon. As this is first party, they really can't let this go months/years before coming state side like 3rd Party Publishers do. Soul Sacrifice Delta too.
