I do think that Nintendo shouldn't and will not drop the price until November or December

Aha! So you agree then that they'll price cut this year!? xD

But yeah, they'll lose more money if they price cut, we know! Thing is this is stubborn ol Nintendo we're talking about here, so when it's between price cutting or no price cutting and leaving their system and games out to dry, they'll definitely choose the former!

Yes, I do think they will do another price cut this year because manufacturing gets cheaper every year so they can afford to do that and keep that $50 loss per console going, just not in May of all things and not until at minumum after Smash Bros comes out... Just remember, selling software is not their issue, their software will sell reguardless of how much the wiiU sells and so far, Nintendo has managed to sell at least a million on their key sellers such as Mario...

So if they sell each of their key games for $50-$60 and sells 1 million copies each, they should technically make 35-40 million per physical game at minimum and Smash Bros and Kart should sell way more than that + hardware sales so I think it will be fine and lets not forget the success of the 3ds helping their overall income

Anyway, good talk

I'm not convinced Nintendo is willing to go lower with the Wii U since they are still selling at a loss.

That's what I was saying last year. Didn't work out too well for me!

I was the same. I didn't not believe they will do it, but they did it anyway. It will be risky move cutting the price - if it doesn't work then they are set to loose more money

They'll have a $50 price drop before Smash. They pretty much have to if they want to stay relevant this holiday.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That, and Campbell's soup. ;)

Is that a real thing!? o_O

Yes it is.  I had some.... doing my bit...  =P

My 8th gen collection

i realy doubt.
nintendo keep saying that they cant drop the price.
But they said that woudnt drop last year, and dropped...
I would bet in a 300$ MK8 bundle.
or 270$ bundle with wii sports club and wiimote.

Nah, just a Mario Kart 8 bundle hopefully, will sell like hot cakes bundled with half life 3.
I still think they should bundle MK8/Smash 4 and watchdogs @ $300 or $350. that should probably move some units

You still quite commonly find many retailers in the US offering a $25 in-store gift card when you buy a Wii U. During holiday season, many GameStop sold the U at $250 and many others would sell it at $300 and give you $50 of gift cards.

A price cut this year is inevitable.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

There was a pricedrop? Or they just stopped makng the one that wa expensive?

they stopped to make the cheaper one and sold the expensiv for the price of the cheaper one.

but this is all very confusing, because sometimes the cheaper one appears in stores for the old price...

I dont know, but it doesnt matter for me, I got my wii u

Zelda - Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch.... Incredable!!!

Probably, and it will be announced at E3 or maybe before Mario Kart 8. I don't expect it to do anything for the Wii U though, a 2k boost... maybe.
