I think it's pretty safe to say we'll get another one this year. Afterall the first one barely changed anything as $300 remained the cheapest price, and with both Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. hitting this year, it'd definitely be an ideal time. A $50 drop would bring it down to $250, a price point which worked great for the Wii, so maybe it could do similarly for Wii U! (probably not)
Also, if they did a $50 cut to coincide with Mario Kart 8's release, then I'd still be half right when I said they'd cut it by $100 for MK8! xD
But anyways, let's hear what you all think about this and be sure to vote in the poll! ^_^

No cause they are already losing money, if they do another one, they will lose even more money... But with that being said I think if they are going to do a price cut, it will be at least one month after Smash

DAMMIT JIZZ, WILL YOU STOP BEING FIRST!!??
OT: Maybe at the end of this year, but not earlier than November. If not, early 2015...

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

They were losing money when they did the first price cut too ya know! Atleast this time they'll have more games out to help make up for the losses, but in order for those games to sell, they need a base to sell on, hence the price cut.

I think so, but not as much as I hope so. A $250 MK8 bundle will have me sold.

No, they need the WiiU to be at least vaguely profitable to help fund the next console they launch. I don't agree with much of what Iwata says, but he was correct when he said that Nintendo needed deep pockets or they won't survive even one console failure. There's no need to blow the deep pockets they have now on the WiiU, best to just ride it out as close to being profitable as possible and try again with a console that might resonate with the public more in a few years time.

It seems u took our conversation to heart

But ya a $50 price cut in May to coincide with Mario Kart 8 and a bundle would be ideal. If possible a redesign that cuts manufacturing costs down a bit and a smaller Gamepad would be great.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

probably not a price cut but partnering with retail and having promos to add value to the Wii U. If they dont start pushing sales this year though I could see retail really cutting into Nintendos section phasing out the Wii U next year so maybe theyll be forced to cut it.

Not a chance. The games will be enough to push the systems with better advertising to go along with it.

Awkward time for a price cut. Especially when MK8 figures already. Got to do it to sustain momentum. End of the quarter to prevent losses appearing for the quarter or begining of the 4th quarter when holiday sales would mask losses would be the best bet for a price cut. So June (announced during e3?) or Sept/Oct
