I guess you could make the claim that it's viable for a Virtual Console release, thus making it piracy.

I've checked this out, just cause I'd like to not have to dig out my controllers games and deal with cleaning off the contacts. I found two versions of SSB and neither of them ran on PJ64k, though both seem to run fine on the regular PJ64 that doperom links to

Yeah I have vista too. Maybe. The regular one worked for a while also. It also works on 1969 but nobody uses that for netplay. The online works for me on project 64k but the regular game doesn't.
