Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who's better suited for a price cut 360 or PS3 ?

MS is working on a converged chipset, for crying out loud. They're also working on two new mobo revisions.

Say it with me... Cherry-picking.

I think MS will drop price first and Sony will soon after. I hate MS but i am also not an idiot and see that they are in better position to drop a price. Sure Sony maybe reducing costs but MS can afford to take higher losses so even if they do not do enough cost cutting they still have the cash to take the higher losses. SOny already took losses and most likely would want to avoid going back into the red(i think they are now breaking even on HW).

While it's just rumors at this point, the writer has been right before about MS codenames and upcoming revisions.

It's as if you think Sony is the only company that is trying to shrink their processes and reduce costs on manufacturing. All three are doing it, though Nintendo currently has the least incentive to aggressively pursue new tech.
