ok in that case i play ryse on my tv and ryse is 900p but my tv displays 180p so i am ryse at 1080p according to yoru logic lol. my quite was tryign to say that now resolutions doesn't matter anymore as non of us could tell that kz mp was less then 720p. and was trying to tell puggsly that even though xbox one has weaker specs,, its still can hold its ground evident by ryse as it got nominatedd for graphics at dice awards.. Also try to point out its funny thta kz is in that resolution and not full hd despite having 40% more gpu power lol

No. Ryse is 900p upscaled to 1080p... KZ is 1920x1080p each two frames... it uses two frames to show the full 1920x1080p picture... the native display in your HDTV is 1920x1080p.

That's why you can't say it was a lower resolution because it is not... what you see is a full 1920x1080p image.

theres a huge difference with teh image from sp and the image from p.. sp image is so much more sharper then the mp image. if what i see is a full 1080p image then the clarity and sharpness should be identical no?  its quite blurry and you see it quite clearly on the textures,, plus i noticed yesterday that there are more jaggies in mp lol. As joe bro siad,, its ives you feeling of 1080p but itsnot really 1080p.

I will try to explain better... I did the best I could.

The result... what you see in the screen is a full 1080p detailed image but it uses two frames to have this full 1080p screen... the trick is that your eyes can't see just one picture but more than 2 at the same time... so they looks merged to us.

The blurry effect is because the real image of one frame is not full of the horizontal lines but it is completed by the other frame.

I never would have guessed how crazy blown out or proportion the whole resolution argument was going to be. Seriously, I did not see it coming at all, pre-gen...

It's not 1080p. It doesn't push as many pixels as 1080p and if anything 1080 it would be 1080i but that's not accurate either.

Basically they are using smoke and mirrors to try and achieve the quality (looks wise, not pixel wise) of a 1080p frame but it only achieves that when you are still. And even then, it's not a real 1080p picture. Of course, once you start moving, the whole aspect of trying to emulate a 1080p screen becomes moot when everything is blurred and smeared to hell and back.

They were fine to say 1080p because the game emulates it while not really achieving it, but as we all know from months of 1080p60 being thrown around here, gamers couldn't tell the difference. But when they say it's a native 1080p resolution, they are just deliberately misleading. I normally don't subscribe to GAF but check out their thread on it. Much simpler explanations of what is going on and without much agenda. Even they are calling GG/Sony out on their BS, which is nice to see. You can even see thuway chime in trying to damage control and twist it to sound like true 1080p (as some are also doing here) and he gets destroyed pretty quickly. Worth a read.

Nobody did that here.

BTW it is true 1080p if you use the definition for 1080p but it is not Full HD standard.

Here's a better native png of the KZ Multiplayer from NeoGaf by Dark10x:

Technically it's really a native 1080p image but the image is created by a temporal reprojection of a previous frame so it avoids any upscaling. It's not at all an interlaced image. There is really 1080p level of sub-details, most of the time.

In my opinion it's slightly sharper than a 900p upscaled image like BF4 even if the temporal reprojection creates some kind of bloom. But I prefer this kind of bloom than the nasty blurring from upscaling + strong FXAA BF4 has.

Apparently some users noticed less blur in the MP recently, they could have toned down the motion blur (because it gave headaches to many people lol). And in fact this png is surprisingly sharp IMO, there is still too much DOF and motion blur around the field of view, but this comes from developer artistic choice, not from the temporal reprojection technique.

As JOe the bro said,, it provides the feeling of 1080p but its not true 1080p but its 1080i instead.

It still didn't stop ppl from enjoying the game that's really all that matters. It does make some here suspect tho. This crap shouldn't even be an issue smh

No. You are wrong and JoeTheBro is also wrong. It's not an interlaced image. It's a real native 1080p image from 2 960x1080p temporal frames. Just go read Neogaf and beyond3D forums about temporal reprojection. It's a GPU expensive technique.

So the image has really FullHD 1080p sub-details (most of the time because in somes cases it doesn't work apparently) and the temporal reprojection just adds some kind of strange effect/bloom to the image. The advantage of temporal reprojection is that it deals at the same time with temporal aliasing.

Just look at my native screen from my previous post, does it look like a 720p level of sharpness/sub-details? No. It's better than upscaled 900p IMO.

@Global I have the game and i went back to mp to check the difference and my god the difference between SP and MP is staggering. If that was the case, , then why didn't Dfmentioned that instead of saying its not full 1080p? The MP is not even close to being sharp and detailed like SP mode. Noticed lots of textures lacking details and supriseingly i notice alot of jaggies. Your screen looks worse then a 900p screens of ryse and BF4. If it was displayed in full HD like the SP capign then the sharpness of both images (sp and MP )) whould be equal crisp and clear. Will try and post my screens from my ps4 to show how theres a huge difference in graphics and sharpness btween sp and MP
