Forums - Microsoft - Left 4 Dead confirmed 360 console exclusive

The March issue of OXM has a feature on Left 4 Dead in which they state: "EXCLUSIVE: The PC and 360 versions of Left 4 Dead will ship simultaneously, but there will be no PS3 edition".  Considering they visited Valve and were shown a level from the 360 version of the game their claim is pretty much a confirmation.  Among the things mentioned about the game are that the PC and 360 versions will have a simultaneous release and that the graphics for the 360 version will be up to the PC's standards.

the title of this thread is intentionally misleading.

Clearly this game is for xbox and PC. Not exclusive xbox.

try not to make the same mistake next time. ;)

^^It sayes console exclusive so its not misleading (unless you don´t read the hole thing)

Looks like Valve are not to fond of doing PS3 ports... looking forward to this game, sounds very promising.

 I don't recall them ever talking about a PS3 version.

And kingofwale, he said "360 console exclusive"...I assumed it meant for consoles, it's 360 exclusive.

But of course I know all about the PC version...you'd be stupid to buy a console version anyway...it's like buying the PC version of Halo...dumb.

If I get it I will go PC - and the only way 360 version will be same as PC is if they limit the resolutions you can set on the PC to keep them in parity as Orange Box supports higher res on PC than 360...

Do you not know what a console exclusive is?  It's when a game will be released on just one console.  If I had said 360 exclusive then I would have been wrong.  So I guess you're the one who made a mistake. ;)

This is no surprise to me. Looking at Orange Box on PS3, the sales were horrible compared to 360 and PC.
