Forums - Gaming - Titanfall Beta Had Full Res Textures, Cloud Servers On PC Available After Patch

Vince Zampella just shared some more info about Titanfall on Twitter. A lot of people were asking themselves whether Titanfall’s Beta was a good representation of the final product in terms of graphics, and there was some talking about textures having a reduced resolution in comparison to those that will be in the final game, but Vince Zampella shed some light on this topic, claiming that the textures were indeed already at full resolution

He didn’t specify what platform he was talking about, but we would think it counts for both the PC and Xbox One, so anyone hoping for major graphics improvements will likely be disappointed, but there still might be space for some minor improvements. Vince Zampella also cleared the situation regarding the cloud servers on PC. He mentions that they will be available via matchmaking, and that private matches, a staple of PC shooters in multiplayer, will follow in a patch.

That first Tweet is rough. It makes the response seem really sad.

"Vince can you upload one screenshot of full graphics? not reduced textures I mean :D I want to see difference"

"The beta was full res textures."

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

What is the difference between a "Cloud Server" and a server?

Can't we all just get along. If not for yourself, do it for the future.

I guess those rumours were wrong about improving textures for the final game.

The improvement of textures was related to the alpha build which they upgraded in the beta.

im telling you people right now, the game certainly isnt a looker, even on PC at max settings it looked like a PS3 game rendered at full hd. games like GoW: ascension and TLoU looked much better. for those expecting a big difference between how the the 360 version and XB1 version (or even PC) looks will be disappointed

They weren't rumors, the Alpha was 25% textures.

Alot happens on screen, there is a possibility that the 360 version is straight up ugly. there hasn't been any video, could be the reason.

Also why 6 v 6 is max.

In the X1 beta, if there were like 4 titans fighting in close space, the frame rate suffered.
