At the start of the video, as it is moving away from the scene and towards the window just watch the water buoys. Once it switches to XBox One you see an obvious difference. I spotted it right away.
Native 1080p is much sharper.

Looking at the game and it seems the main issues with regards to the Xbox One version in particular are some less than impressive frame rates which cause stutter when moving. However when comparing the Xbox One version to the PC, aside from the obvious differences between native and upscaled, the graphical differences aren’t so obvious with the Xbox One version holding up well in comparison despite some lower resolution textures and slightly different brightness/contrast levels by default. Take a look at the video which shows off the PC version next to the Xbox One version running in sequence using the same scenes. Can you spot the differences? Please be aware that the overall quality is diminished due to Youtube compression but does give the general idea as both versions take the hit. http://cramgaming.com/thief-pc-native-1080p-versus-xbox-one-upscaled-1080p-can-spot-differences-15077/

Yes, but far from an equal hit. Compression destroys high frequency detail first. That video runs at an average of 3 maybe 4 mbps, that's not even dvd quality. The only real difference visible in that compressed mess is that the color on the xb1 is a bit washed out compared to pc.

I actually notice more differences between PC and PS4, according to Digital Foundry the PS4 version uses trilinear filtering instead of the 16x anisotropic filtering that the PC and Xbox One versions have, and it causes a noticeable difference. |
Trilinear filtering... in 2014... on a Next Gen console... trilinear filtering... trilinear filtering... trilinear filtering...

I guess there's no reason to strive for higher resolutions and better frame rates...
just came back from the future(2016),was just reading a df article on the newly released gta6,,,, ps4 had better res/ framerate/ better shaders/less artifacts/less shimmering/less texture pop-up ect.., BUT there was a pedestrian that had an extra button on her purse on the xone version, winner Microsoft

You do have to admire their attempts though.
Last gen so many could obviously see the differences between a PS3 and a 360 title. They could notice everything from frame rate to resolution to the AA used.
Now they see nothing.
Do yourself a favor and get used to it. Through my years here (and just about all gaming forums) I have noticed that arguments always seem to change when it suits the agenda.
Last gen: "I game on X consoles because it has superior multiplats".
This gen: "Who cares if it has the superior multiplats? The differences are negligible and I prefer X controller anyways."

''Bird cages shimmer, while hair and fur shaders show up aliasing artefacts to a MORE notable degree on Xbox One in motion'' |
Apparently you missed the part where PS4 is let down by trilinear texture filtering.
