And, I wouldn't say "burning through". As we don't know whether the game broke even, made a loss, or made a profit. And they're still selling a few thousand a week.
I'm willing to bet that they've made a profit on the game by now.
Didn't Heavenly Sword have a huge budget?

well they might not be burning it because they might of cut even but we dont know

Didn't the game have a 20+ million dollar budget? Is that even including the advertising for the game? If that game broke even then they must have gold toilets installed in most game development studios.
HS sold around 800 K so far i believe so I doubt it was a waste. Also, I suspect the investment for the engine will carry forward into new games in the same way it does for Insomniac so I doubt they're burning money.
I like HS but it was too short, also without giving too much away I thought it finished well and closed of its main character... so I'd rather I new IP that builds on the engine/good points of HS while avoiding the bad.
And those shots do look like a new IP...
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Only if your imagination comes true. Otherwise it just a number created by the people who want to see it go down as a financial failure.

I like sequels in video games (unlike movies) because the franchise can actually improve. They can work out all the little kinks and really enrich the experience for those who loved the first installment.
My guess is it is Heavenly Sword 2, but it could be something else.
