While I am more curious about the main line Sonic game touched on, I will check out this side game even with curious character design decisions.

It seems the developers are ex-Naughty Dog and Infinity Ward developers and this is their first project with their new company. This has potential to be really good.I'm hoping it will be polished and well-made. They have the talent, thought, and care plus they're probably hungry to prove themselves.

I gotta say, I'm getting more and more excited the more I see of this. That's the first time a Sonic game has done that for me in a long time. Even with Sonic Lost World it just sort of made me hopeful that Sonic might have a good game for once, but this really seems like it'll be a fantastic new direction for the franchise. I like the attitude they take with the support characters. They don't just want you to say "oh, more characters, nice" they want you to actually like these characters and want to be them. So if you're not Sonic, big deal, the others are awesome too. Can you imagine a game where Amy ISN'T a disappointment, and you'd actually CHOOSE to be her, even if there was another choice? I'm really excited to see what they do with her. Her design is mostly the same, but her personality sounds like it's getting a reboot so she's not just a useless follower that drags Sonic down. Also, the voice acting seems pretty good, much better than recent Sonic titles, and I actually laughed a bit at some of the lines, so I think the humor will be alright too.

I will wait till the reviews in order to buy it, Sonic games have been on and off for the last few iterations so trusting Sonic with a new developer might be a good or a bad thing

Hm never ever cared for Sonic games, not a single one, at all. This one however, has piqued my interest. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
