Really? I wasn't a big fan. I perfered Mario Kart 64 by a large margin. Crash Team's controls didn't seem as tight and the weapons were worse making battle mode have a lot less strategy.

Haven't played the DS version and Doubledash was meh to me.

Actually the last mariokart game i loved was the Arcade Mario Kart/Namco crossover Mario Kart game.

Well I loved everything aside from the $1 dollar per race fee. 

I don't think that will work. Excite Truck has you hold the wiimote with the face up, Mario Kart has you hold it facing you. The axis of tilt is very different. 

I wonder how many people are actually going to use that wheel.

I don't know if I will pick up a Wii just for this game, I will probably wait until the review comes out.

Uhm... No matter how good the game looks, it still has "snaking" which ruins the game play for me.

I must admit, it looks rather compelling, and my girlfriend will want to race online with me, but I am not sure I want to support the game knowing the company has not only done nothing to stop cheating/exploiting glitches, but rather, encouraged them.

All that said, this game is appearing to be awesome. Nintendo sure is trying to pack everything into the game, feature-wise, that they can and I commend them for that. Their amount of effort and dedication to advancing a series beyond just the controls, is very evident here. They deserve the success they are sure to get for this game.

weird that they didn't give any bit of opinion on the game. just description of features, nothing on the way it controls, the way it looks, the fun you can have. very non-commital. strange.

Hell...I was really worried there wouldn't be split-screen online...yet there's no reason it can't work...it'd be like BenKenobi88 + guest in Strikers except now it's + 3 guests.

This is great, this is great.

This means we can play 8 player splitscreen with two Wiis on one TV haha...or just play a 12 player game with three TVs in the same house...epic.

edit:  Damn...only 2 players per system.  That disappoints me...but at least it's better than single player. 

 well, if you want fanboy's "OMG, THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER" type comments, just go read Nintendo Power. ;)

IGN did what a true journalist is supposed to do, REPORT, they aren't going to judge a game yet until it's complete.

i'm still going to laugh at how hard rainbow road will be at the end. It's always an hard track.
