A one percent chance. But it can still outsell the XBox, and coming in second would be a great feat considering how bad of a start it had (well aside from the first few months).
Does Wii U still have a chance to outsell PS4? | |||

Tagging to bump when ps4 doubles wii u ltd.
WiiU is the Gamecube of this Gen just acept it ppl. I have one I like it, but dont grasp at straws it wont sell well, Id say it will be dead last this gen bu XOne isnt looking too good either so maybe WiiU will be second.
No, there is absolutely zero chance of that due to the very nature of the two products and the modern market(s).

The answer is yes, of course this early in there is ALWAYS a chance that any of the three home console could "win the generation". You never know what tomorrow is going to bring. Wii U could turn everything around with just a few great game releases and some strong advertising, and before you know it, it could be "back on top" in sales (as in maintaining that spot which it technically currently still has). Will that happen? Who the hell knows. But of COURSE it's possible, as of right now. Saying otherwise is just being a fanboy. |
Correct in every word.
| fleischr said: One thing is pretty much certain: the WiiU will not have the summer doldrums it had last year -- if only for the fact Mario Kart is released. When you consider also Bayonetta 2, Watch Dogs, Smash Bros, Sonic Boom, and Skylanders, you're talking about a machine that has serious cross-segment appeal at a competitive price. I don't think the hype around PS4 can last forever |
HYpe doesn't last forever for anything, reelvance?....The fact is the PS4 is a great value proposition with huge third party support ensuring no slow down like the wii-u has seen.

There is always the possibility. At the same time, it is not unreasonable to use what information is available and make an assumption in this case.
