My estimation is 350k, and I stand by it. Japan is a handheld country, and until the software appears I don't expect massive sales for any of the three.

Mythical Nintendo portable/console hybrid is the only thing that can rally Japan now.

It's 8:30 in the morning right now in Japan. I think the time difference is confusing people.

It's good to have stock right now. How else would it sell? Come tonight in Japan if it's still in stock, then I think it'd be time to take it as a bad sign.

It's been out a day already, many people were able to walk into a store and reported a fair amount of stock available in most stores. You could get one easily without a preorder even late into the afternoon. 

Nothing wrong that per se, but it doesn't echo the launches in North America or Europe. 

So in Japan they leave the boxes on the open shelf? If not this looks like another slimebeast post of empty boxes.

This is pretty interesting! The reason I went for 500,000 for two days and 750,000 for the week, is because I thought Sony had ploughed a lot of consoles into the Japanese market. So for me, seeing PS4s on shelves doesn't mean a whole lot just yet. It's how I saw it panning out.

we will get numbers sonner than that ;), hint:(500k) in the first 48 hours but don't expect much more for first week (hint: 640k shipped for launch)
