I'll say metal gear will be rated higher, because it's been overrated since part 3. Even if watch dogs is better, the reviewers will gush and gloss over any problems with the game, while they will be honestly critical of watch dogs.
But I may be wrong too, it does seem like konami is trying to update the tired gameplay(metal gear 1-2-3-4 are the same tired shit. Fun for 1-2, but old and tired for 3, especially 4) so maybe it will be great.
Metal Gear Solid is going to score higher simply because it's Metal Gear. Even Metal Gear Garbage 2 Sons of Liberty had a high metascore. 96 and everything after the tanker sucked imo. I'm not much of a Metal Gear fan though. I didn't like playing through MGS3 much because I was impatient and didn't want to wait for minutes just to move ahead. The storyline though was amazing though. One of the greatest accomplishments in gaming. The story to the second one? I couldn't take listening to the entire story be about Raiden crying repeatedly anymore and quit after disarming the bombs and beating the woman.
Watch Dogs is going to score low because journalists will compare it to GTA5, and even if it has mechanics that are better than GTA5, there's guaranteed to be bias where Watch Dogs can't compete simply because it's not GTA.
MGS games were always close to perfection in my opinion. I think metacritic wise it will crush watch dogs.
From a sales wise perspective, I'm not really sure yet. MGS is a well established franchise, while watch dogs joins the game. And also, if I remember correctly, Ubi pointed out that they wanted to sell 6 million copies, so it could be a close battle.
Lyrics: He He He He Ha Ha Ha!

This is another tough one. I think Watch Dogs will win in sales but Metal Gear will win in Metascore. I'm thinking 81 for Watch Dogs, 90 for Metal Gear.
Personally, I'm more excited for Metal Gear. Outside of Mario Kart 8 it's my most anticipated 2014 title.
Watch Dogs will easily win sales and probably Metacritic too but personally I'm very excited for MGS5 while I will skip Watchi Dogs.
