This doesn't sound good for the PS4 ...

I'm not worried, less sales now means a bigger Japan launch, all the stock will be sold in the end anyway so this week is bad but next week will be massive.

I doubt that Sony is with holding that much stock just for japan ...

Production issues then? Because it's not available at Amazon, Amazon UK, Iceland (lulz) or Gamestop.

Tell me that when im not behind 100 other people on the pre-order list months after launch. The PS4 does not have a sales problem. It has a stock or production problem.

Doesn't make sense for Sony to hold back so much units for Japan launch unless the preorders are insane...which wont make sense because there isn't much Japanese centric games.

That's a massive drop for PS4...especially considering the adjustments?

And PS4s record setting launch made sense software wise, fuck no.  Why should japan be any different.

Xbox One approaching Vita numbers. Oh yeah, and PS4 undertracked obviously. :P

yeah, i dunno...

...i mean i'm not saying it's not undertracked.   but shipments have been pretty sparce lately.  there were a couple weeks where ps4 was quite easy to find and it's gone back to almost complete sellout again.  i imagine the numbers will go back up shortly after the japan launch.

Seperate thought - just so i'm clear, ps4 launchs in japan on the 22nd.   that means next week's ps4 numbers will have the japan launch right?

Undeniable cause for worry for the One at this point, but it's only a little bit behind the PS3 at the same time frame, looking like my expectation for it to match the PS3's first full year won't be too far off at this point.

PS3 was only out in Japan and the US at this point. Does XBONE have anything this year that'll bump its sales as much as the European launch bumped PS3 sales?

Exactly. Funny how as soon as some see the ps4 is not on top, it's all about it being under tracked.but like you said, we'll see one way or the other...

It's got nothing to do with it not being on top. Once it releases in Japan it's going to be first every week for a long time, but again, that's not what people are saying. The reason it's low is because Sony are stocking for Japan, and yes, as last week and the week before proved, VGC has the PS4 undertracked.

The PS5 Exists.

Stock going to japan and it looks to be undertracked.

We'll see ...

Out of all this mess the PS4 is the only shot at this point to saving the gaming industry. While the 3DS did good it's waning really quickly which makes me doubt that it will hit 100 million and 70 million sounds quite problematic at this point given the drops. If the PS4 doesn't get around the 100 mill mark then gaming TRULY FUCKED ...

I think One is in a lot of trouble...

I don't see how that is relevant to my posts? Low supply with complete sellouts does mean less sales, though.

It's very relevant to your post seeing as how your trying to imply that low supply means high demand but I guess your right about having lower sales overall and I guess we'll need to see march NPD numbers to make this conclusive or if february NPD numbers are as good or better than january's NPD numbers with supply issues then it may be concluded by then.

No, I was implying exactly what I said. That due to sellouts and few restocks this week, the sales are lower than before.

Then I hope you understand that low sales =/= high demand
